HOW TO MAKE FLEECE FRINGE TO ADD TO YOUR FLEECE PROJECTS. 1. Cut a six inch wide strip. Piece as needed to go around where you want to add fringe. 2. Fold strip in half lengthwise. Stitch one half inch from raw edges. Stitch one fourth inch from first row of stitching. If you want a fancy edge, then trim raw edges with rotary cutter using scalloped or pinking blade. 3. To make fringe cut fleece every one fourth inch, be careful, do not cut through the stitching. 4. Gently pull on ends of cut strips. NOTE: If you want curly fringe, be sure to cut strip along the length of fabric (parallel to the selvage). Fringe that has been cut across the width of fabric (from selvage to selvage) will not curl.
